Academic Foundation
Grounded in science
Nutrition advice is only as good as its foundations. My degree gave me a rigorous understanding of human physiology, food science, biochemistry, and dietetic practice — the bedrock of everything I do with clients.
From macronutrient metabolism to the gut microbiome, I translate complex science into practical strategies that fit real lives. No fads, no shortcuts — just evidence that stands up.
Practicum & Clinical Internships
Trained across real environments
My nutrition internships weren’t classroom exercises — they placed me inside real organisations, working with diverse populations across sport, community, clinical, and catering settings. That breadth is what makes my practice genuinely versatile.
Lincoln University Catering
Nutrition Practicum Intern
Applied food science and nutritional principles in a large-scale catering environment, gaining insight into menu planning, nutrient analysis, and the practicalities of feeding diverse university populations with varying dietary needs.
New Zealand Cricket
Sports Nutrition Practicum Intern
Worked within a professional sporting organisation to support athlete nutrition, energy availability, recovery, and performance fuelling strategies — gaining direct experience in sports dietetics at elite level.
Special Olympics New Zealand
Community Nutrition Practicum Intern
Provided nutrition support for athletes with intellectual disabilities, developing adaptive communication and assessment skills. This placement deepened my commitment to inclusive, person-centred nutrition care for all abilities.
Ara Nutrition Clinic
Clinical Nutrition Practicum Intern
Conducted dietary assessments, developed personalised nutrition plans, and provided evidence-based counselling in a supervised clinical setting — building the client-facing skills that now underpin my consultancy practice.
My Approach
Nutrition that respects the whole person
Evidence-First
Every recommendation I make is grounded in peer-reviewed research. I stay current with the science so you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Personalised, Always
No two people have the same physiology, lifestyle, or relationship with food. Your plan is built for you — not a template applied to everyone.
Sustainable Change
I’m not interested in quick fixes. I help you build habits, understanding, and confidence that last long beyond our time working together.
Areas of Expertise
Where I can make a real difference
My training across Lincoln University Catering, NZ Cricket, Special Olympics, and Ara’s Nutrition Clinic means I’ve worked with elite athletes, people with disabilities, clinical populations, and community settings alike.
That breadth — from sports performance to inclusive community health — gives me a perspective that purely clinical or purely wellness-focused practitioners simply don’t have.
Whatever brings you here, I’ve likely worked in a context that’s close to your situation — and I know how to adapt.
Professionally Registered · Fully Accountable
I’m an Associate Registered Nutritionist (ANutr) with Nutrition Society of New Zealand — the professional body that sets and upholds standards of practice for nutritionists across Aotearoa. My practice is governed by a code of ethics, ongoing professional development, and accountability to the profession.
